The past three years we went out to "fine dining" for our Anniversary. Our first anniversary was at Per Se, awesome. The second was at Cafe Boulud, very nice. The third at Blue Hill at Stone Barns, very hoity and toity and quite lovely with a farm tour before dinner.
For our fourth, I cooked all day. Which is totally fine and doesn't actually equal me cooking ALL DAY, it means there were little things to do resulting in the lunch and dinner that we had. I'm a good House-band (not band bund like husband).
Dwindling Summer Salad: Pulled Chicken, Toasted Barley, Roma Tomatoes, Dill, Parmesan, fresh pole beans, and a little sherry vinaigrette. All served slightly warm
Trip into Fall: Roasted Chicken Galantine stuffed with homemade sourdough breadcrumbs, sweet potatoes, & chicken farce with a little oregano and sage from the backyard. Chicken dressed with a drizzle of reduced chicken stock. Accompanied with House made Whole Wheat Scottish Rolls, Yukon and Melted Leek Mash and a side of Purslane and yogurt salad served on the side.
Tracie's baking the dessert now (thanks Alaina!).
Oh and @angrycatering and @surleesuplies followers, this is what I'm talking about people.
